vitamins & supplements

Hello my friend,

over the last few months I started to feel that my energy was decreasing at the speed of space rocket. I don't know if this was because we had winter (living in the Netherlands) with a lot of rain, wind, cold and less sun than usual... at least for my own feeling.

Maybe this is also due to my age, slowly but surely I am walking towards my perimenopauzale season in my life. I found myself often without any mood to workout or do things outside of our house and more often feeling blue.

That was the reason why I wanted to upgrade intake of my vitamins and supplements, to make sure that I do all within my power to stay in a good place with my mental and physical state.

I have been taking those supplements and vitamins listed below for approximately 1.5 months now and I can quietly report back that I feel my energy is coming back, yay!

An interesting thing that I am doing, I will remove all plastic cups and pour the powder into my breakfast yoghurt. I will take all supplements, except magnesium in the morning. I will take magnesium in the evening with glass of milk, because I red somewhere that this is better for your body recovery.

Please remember that I am not a doctor or any medical specialist - I just want to share, so here we go;

Iron - Iron Bisglycinate 20mg - an organic form of iron. This form of iron is easily absorbed by human body. Iron promotes energy metabolism and has beneficial effect on normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Iron helps to reduce fatigue. In addition, iron contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. 1 capsule per day.

Vitamin D - D3 supplement Vitamin D is good for my muscles and bones. Vitamin D is important for (strong) teeth and helps my immune system. I often don't get enough sun so I definitely need this one. 1 capsule per day.

Magnesium + B6 - Combination of magnesium, l-tryptophan and vitamin B6 to reduce fatigue and contributes to flexible muscles. Magnesium is a mineral that contributes to normal functioning of muscles and nervous system. In addition, magnesium promotes energy metabolism and contributes to brain and nerve functions involved in learning. L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid and plays role in the production of serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates your everyday needs such as sleep, your appetite, your body temperature and your moods. Vitamin B6 is mainly known for its contribution to the regulation of hormonal activities in the body. It also supports psychological function, making it good for concentration, learning performance, memory and mood. 1 capsule per day.

Collagen + Vitamin C - Hydrolyzed collagen 1000 mg (easily absorbable). Collagen reduces visible signs of aging. Fingers crossed on this one he-he. With vitamin C firm skin, maintenance of strong bones and helps protect against the effects of pollution and sunlight. 2 capsules per day.

Rhodiola Rosea herb - 250 mg - a herb from Chinese herbalism. Should provides support during mental and physical exertion plus supports my body & mind during strenuous exercise. 1 capsule per day.

Vitex Agnus Castus herb - (monk's pepper) 400 mg. This herb should reduces symptoms of PMS and discomfort during menstruation and menopause. Vitex Agnus Castus is said to contribute to balance of estrogen and progesterone. 2 capsules per day.

This is what I am taking at this moment in order to be in my best possible state of body & soul.

Thank you for reading.
